Int. New Media Project Ideas! ‧⁺✧(˶´u`˵)⁺‧

 Hello Everyone!!! 🫧🐟

I had to blow the dust off this blog..but I am glad to be back and share with y’all my new ART!

1. My first idea for my New Media project is to encapsulate my bed. I thought of the idea of my bed because seeing Robert Rauschenberg's ‘Bed’ made me realize that usually when people talk about bedrooms, it's more about what surrounds the bed than the actual bed itself. My reason for wanting to emphasize the bed of the room is to either create a hanging mobile that would dissect the bed layer by layer or instead a sequential approach that shows my bed in three stages: Childhood, Adolescence, and my now adult years.

- My timeline for this project would be to: 

• Assemble the mobile or 3 structures (by wk 3)

• Sew all blankets and linens (by Wk 5)

• Assemble and plan how to stage the final product (by wk 6

2) My second idea is to use the daily still life drawings I do of my classrooms or living spaces, but rather than my materials being just paper and ink, I would finally pursue sewing through paper and doing some bead work. I’m not too sure how to display this idea yet, but if I choose it, I want to work more 3D with showing the places rather than using frames.  3) For my final piece, I was thinking about Cyanotypes and digital collages. Again, this idea is not as fleshed out as the first one, but I wanted to shoot some film (or digital collage silhouettes), print it off onto transparent paper, and then expose the cyanotypes so I can then press the paper and bind it into a book. 

I am heavily leaning towards the bed idea, primarily because I do want to work on sewing more and carving cardboard, but all these ideas excite me so I’m gonna think and draft for a bit longer before completely committing.
